Professional Career and Highlights
Kip began his tax career with the Internal Revenue Service and later worked in the tax department of Ernst & Ernst, now Ernst & Young.
He subsequently co-founded Royster & Smith CPAs in Winston-Salem, North Carolina (1980).
In 1991, Kip entered full-time pastoral ministry, where he continues to serve today. Throughout those years, he remained involved in tax and accounting matters and later resumed an active CPA practice.
Today, through J. Kip Smith CPA EA LLC, he combines his tax background, business experience, and decades of working directly with people and organizations to provide practical tax and accounting guidance.
Kip is a Certified Public Accountant and an Enrolled Agent authorized to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.
